Lauren’s journey to becoming an accountant wasn’t a direct route. She began her career in human resources, where she managed payroll and discovered her passion for accounting. Inspired to pursue the profession full-time, Lauren earned her accounting qualifications. Her career change reflects her commitment to growth and aligns closely with DY USA’s Core Value Be Better Than Yesterday.

Known for her friendly, straightforward approach, Lauren prepares tax returns, researches tax issues and collects missing information to make sure clients submit their complete tax documentation. She also contributes to DY USA’s technology initiatives, helping enhance tools and workflows to deliver a seamless client experience. Lauren also brings 10 years of prior experience in preparing UK accounts, payroll and personal tax returns. 

Before entering the private sector, Lauren worked within the National Health Service and local government, gaining valuable experience managing sensitive information, navigating strict regulation requirements and supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. These roles strengthened her communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, which she applies to every client relationship.

Lauren studied Business HNC at Stafford University. She earned her A Levels at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2020.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys hill walking with friends and her dog Toby, running at local park runs, watching theatre shows, attending the occasional rock concert and spending time with family.
