DY USA was founded in 2011 to meet the growing need for dedicated UK–US tax planning and cross-border compliance guidance.
Founder and managing partner Rob Whittall set out to build a different kind of firm — one centered on a true “people-first” culture. He believes that when our team focuses on quality work without tracking billable hours in an environment that supports their holistic well-being, clients receive exceptional service.

Firsthand insight
Rob Whittall, DY USA’s Founder and Managing Partner, is dual-qualified as a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and UK Chartered Accountant (CA).
Rob grew up in the UK and has spent much of his life living and working between the US and UK. As both a trusted tax advisor and an entrepreneur with businesses on both sides of the Atlantic, he understands the challenges our clients face because he’s lived them. Rob brings a practical, down‑to‑earth approach to helping cross‑border businesses and individuals make confident, well‑informed decisions.
