Growing up, Ian imagined becoming a surgeon, but an accountancy apprenticeship at 17 redirected his ambition. Guided by strong mentoring, he quickly specialised in tax and chose it as his long-term path. In 2012, the opportunity to work on dual UK/US tax issues arose, and he has never looked back while continuing to grow and supporting DY USA’s Core Value Be Better Than Yesterday.
Ian Brander is Partner in Charge of DY USA’s Personal Tax Services Group and a trusted advisor to US and UK individuals navigating complex US-UK cross-border tax matters. With deep expertise in both US and UK individual tax planning and compliance, Ian helps clients gain confidence in an increasingly complex and constantly changing global tax environment.
Clients value Ian’s ability to simplify highly technical issues and translate them into straightforward, actionable guidance.
