Applying her 20 years of practice serving US entrepreneurs, Julie offers clients a wide range of knowledge in a vast scope of technical matters. She has assisted clients through the life cycle of their businesses from startup stages, growth and wind down, and is well versed in collaborating with businesses of all sizes and levels of ownership from sole proprietors to large investment partnerships.
Having spent her early years assisting startup businesses to most recently acting as a CFO/Controller at a mid-market manufacturer, she has a practical understanding of issues facing business clients in the US today. In addition, with her experience at a national venture capital firm, she is able to convey complex topics like investor partnership reporting requirements, partners’ allocations, partner capital balances and fund accounting in a meaningful and actionable terms.
Julie has partnered with clients to address a myriad of issues ranging from developing their own internal accounting systems from a basic cash flow checkbook method of accounting to reviewing and auditing financial statements under generally accepted accounting principles.
She assists organizations with all stages of payroll administration from start up applications, time clock implementation, payroll service integration, to incentive compensation with strategic owner officer compensation plans. Julie guides businesses through basic retirement plan options to sophisticated methods of owner deferred compensation. She has also identified opportunities for federal and state subsidies for tax by using R&D credits and investment credits and determining how best to maximize depreciation deductions through accelerated methods or cost segregation studies.
Julie earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, National Social Security Advisor and a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs.
Born and raised in northeast Ohio, Julie is a lifelong loyal Cleveland Browns fan and proud mother of twin daughters. She enjoys reading the latest bestseller, walking her dog and doing yoga in her free time..
