Christy has been fortunate to spend extended periods of time living in the UK over the past decade. Immersing herself in the culture, landscapes, food and everyday life — while forming new friendships and traveling throughout Europe — has been both personally fulfilling and professionally valuable. These experiences have deepened her firsthand understanding of the intersection between UK and US culture, reinforcing DY USA’s Core Value Keep it Human, Keep it Personal.
Christy brings over 25 years of experience with privately held companies to support DY USA clients in both tax and operational matters. She partners with businesses establishing or growing their US presence, providing practical, solutions-focused guidance.
Her expertise includes various tax matters including the UK/US tax treaty, corporate tax, state nexus, payroll and HR compliance, sales tax, financial reporting and operational process improvement. Christy also has extensive experience in tax preparation, IRS matters and managing ongoing accounting and compliance requirements.
Known for her clear, straightforward approach, she helps business owners make informed decisions and maintain efficient, compliant operations.
Christy serves as the primary conduit between DY USA, its strategic partners and a trusted network of business advisors. When needed, Christy connects clients with vetted professionals who provide complementary services essential to operating a business in the U.S.
Christy is actively involved in transatlantic civic and professional organizations, where she holds several leadership roles. She serves as a Trustee of the Loxley Purse (British American Chamber of Commerce), a board member of the https://clevelandculturalgardens.org/gardens/british-garden/, and a member of the steering committee for the British American Business Transatlantic Growth Accelerate program.
She also serves on the board of the Small Business Council of America (SBCA) as Co-Chair of Membership. In recognition of her leadership and contributions, Christy was awarded SBCA’s 2024 Connie Murdoch Award.
A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Christy enjoys traveling, wine and a variety of sports in her spare time.
