David specializes in US tax planning, compliance and financial reporting for UK companies entering the US market, as well as established businesses with transatlantic UK–US operations. He helps clients navigate complex tax issues and, when needed, represents them before federal and state tax authorities.

David approaches every engagement as a long-term partner and trusted advisor, whether he’s supporting a business owner, CFO, controller or accounting team, so that they can focus on running their business or achieving their respective responsibilities. He draws on his broad experience to identify tax issues early and help companies avoid penalties and delays. By understanding each client’s operations and goals, he provides practical, proactive guidance grounded in a holistic view of their business.

With general knowledge across key US business functions — including banking, payroll, HR, insurance and legal — David provides clients with a comprehensive, overview understanding of their tax position and directs them to DY USA’s trusted network of partners when additional support is needed. His commitment to exceptional service and continuous improvement has helped him build strong, enduring client relationships.

David earned his engineering degree from Tsinghua University before moving to the US, where he completed both his MBA and Master of Accountancy from Bowling Green State University. He received his CPA license and earned US International Tax Certificate by AICPA, a comprehensive learning program that helps global finance and accounting professionals navigate complex international taxa issues.

David enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, traveling and spending time with his wife and their two children.
