Rob Whittall named President of
British American Chamber of Commerce, Ohio
CLEVELAND, OH (October 1, 2014) — Dyke Yaxley LLC is proud to announce the firm’s managing partner, Rob Whittall, was named president of the British American Chamber of Commerce, Ohio (BACC Ohio) for the 2014-16 term. Mr. Whittall, a Chartered Accountant and a CPA, specializes in inbound and outbound international tax issues for closely held businesses and individuals. He splits his time between the firm’s offices in Cleveland, Ohio in the US and Shrewsbury in the UK.
Founded in 1994, the BACC Ohio is one of the most active Chambers in the British American Business Council, the largest transatlantic business organization consisting of 21 chapters and approximately 2,500 member companies in major cities across North America and the UK. The Ohio Chamber regularly liaises with international organizations throughout Ohio and the US and hosts activities and events to promote and stimulate trade between the US and UK.
During his lengthy tenure as a member, board member and most recently as treasurer of BACC Ohio, and throughout his 25 year professional career, Mr. Whittall has witnessed and greatly contributed to the growth of small businesses conducting transatlantic commerce between the US and UK as well as advised US and UK citizens with transatlantic tax obligations. As the Ohio Chamber’s incoming president, he will apply this unique insight and experience to enhance the Chamber’s contributions.
Mr. Whittall’s goals for the BACC Ohio include: building stronger business relationships between the UK and US; increasing membership; expanding educational programs focused on doing business in the UK and US; and working more closely with UK Chambers to educate members on the benefits of doing business in the US.
