3:00-4:00pm GMT

UK companies conducting business in the U.S. face a plethora of compliance issues involving business registration, employment, taxation and withholding. Our focus this quarter is on providing a foundational knowledge of payroll implications, definitions and necessary considerations to operate effectively and legally in the U.S.

Rob Whittall, managing partner of Dyke Yaxley LLC, will moderate a discussion with Keith McLeod, Senior Advisor for Heartland Payroll, to share payroll insights and examples that will paint a clearer understanding of this intricate tax topic. Topics include:

  • Defining terms like FUTA and FICA and outlining requirements for federal, state and local taxes
  • Explaining how to obtain withholding accounts and maintain compliance with different agencies
  • Providing comparisons to equivalent UK taxes
